APPOINTED CHAPLAIN

HOSPITAL SHIP POST DEAN WEATHERHOG TO ACT Advice of his appointment as chaplain of a hospital ship has been received by the Dean of Hamilton, the Very Rev. T. P. Weatherhog. The Dean, who came to Hamilton from Rio de Janeiro, has been here for about six years. He expects to leave in about a month to take up his new duties, and has been granted leave of absence by the Waikato Diocese for the duration of the war. During the last war the Dean was a member of the British Red Cross and also saw service with the Royal Navy. While in Hamilton he has been actively associated with the Hamilton Operatic Society and the Waikato Area of the British Drama League, and was also chaplain to the Hamilton Fire Brigade.
