AIR FORCE LOSSES PILOTS REPORTED KILLED (By Telpjrraph.—A.««ncintlon) WELLINGTON, Thursday The following Air Force casualties are announced:— Spence, Pilot-Officer Douglas James, previously missing, now reported killed in action. His father is Mr A. W. Spence, Christchurch. Death Presumed Fawcett, Pilot-Officer Nicoll Brian, reported missing in August.—Mr F.fP. Fawcett, Feilding (father). Missing On Operations Tripp, Pilot-Officer Hugh Upton Howard. The Rev. H. H. Tripp, Orari (father). CORPORAL R. A. JACKSON Corporal Roosevelt Albert Jackson, who has been reported killed in action, was a resident of Hamilton on the outbreak of war. Born in Wanganui and educated at Gonville and the Fielding District High School, he came to Frankton with his parents 10 years ago. At the time of his enlistment he was employed as foreman for Messrs Tuck and Watkins at Frankton. He was well known in sport circles and was prominent in St. George’s Church activities. Both Corporal Jackson’s parents are dead, and of four brothers two are with the Forces in the Middle East and a third is an attested member of the Royal New Zealand Air Force waiting to be called up. There are two sisters.
