BASKETBALL SEASON
WAIPA ASSOCIATION MEETS TE AWAMUTU. Wednesday. There was a promising attendance at the annual general meeting of the Waipa Basketball Association which was held at the courts recently. The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Mr W. O. Park; president, Mr Venables: vice-presidents. Messrs w. A-lams, E. 11. cucksey. A. B. Alien, Mcs dames c. R. Hurley. J. G. Kirkham. R. j. Bhaw: secretary. Miss M. Pa<coe : treasurer. Miss R. Armstrong; auditor, Mr L. Johnson. There are to be (wo delegates from each club and on tin- social committee. 11 hir members rrorn each club. The app untmont <>r selectors was deferred until next meeting when prospectors will? have been approached.
