TRANSFER OF SUPPLIERS WAR TERM NECESSARY The subject of suppliers to butter factories who have been transferred to cheese factories, in the war emergency, was again discussed by the South Auckland Dairy Association, at the meeting in Hamilton yesterday afternoon, following the conference with the Hon. J. G. Barclay, Minister of Marketing and Agriculture, earlier in the day. The meeting was of opinion that such suppliers should be regarded purely as on loan from one company to another, and the matter was clarified by the following motion, proposed by Mr F. W. Seifert (Morrinsville) and seconded by Mr C H. J. Wily (Franklin), “ That those suppliers who are on loan to cheese factories for the period of the war emergency must return to their parent companies for a period of at least one complete season.” Ail cheese companies are to be written to, pointing out the verbal assurances, and asking for ratification in writing. The resolution is to be forwarded to the Dairy Board as a recommendation.
