TE AROHA NOTES
RAINFALL BELOW AVERAGE (Special to Time*) TE AROHA, Tuesday Although many dull days were experienced during April, the rainfall in Te Aroha was below the average according to the figures recorded at the meteoroligieal office. The total rainfall was 1.89 inches, which fell on eight days, the heaviest fall being on April o when 1.l Inches were .recorded. There have been frosts on several mornings, tho severest being 4 degrees on April 94. The highest temperature for the month was 7 5.5 and the lowest 30. The minimum grass temperature was 28.5. Swimming Bath Closed The swimming bath in the Te Aroha Tourist Domain has had io be closed down Tor some days as a resuit of vandalism. The bath is supplied with hot mineral water from the Mohina Geyser, stones and other objects have been dropped down tite bore of the geyser, tnus causing tne formation of silica and blocking the outlet to the bath, it has been necessarv to carry out boring operation* and a new outlet is being formed.
