FURTHER SUSPECT

SPINAL MENINGITIS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WHANGAREI. Tuesday A further suspected case of spinal meningitis was admitted to the Kawakawa Hospital last evening and was today found to be a definite case. The patient was a nine-year-old Maori child from Waiomo. a Maori settlement near Kawakawa. The outbreak of the disease is still largely confined to a relatively small area round Kawakawa. No restrictions on travelling by the public have been imposed, but the public is urged not to undertake unnecessary travelling.
