THEFTS DENIED

ESCAPED PRISONER COMMITTED FOR TRIAL (Special to Times) TE KUITI, Thursday Arrested at Wanganui, John Henry Wilson, who escaped from the charge of a warder on a train near Ohakune on February 14, was charged in the Te Kuiti Court with stealing jewellery and other articles, including clothing, from the house of Mr John Nicholls, of Te Kuiti. He pleaded not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court at Hamilton for trial. The articles alleged to have been stolen, were valued at £35.
