HAMILTON CREWS

j FOR NGARUAWAHIA REGATTA j _ • GOOD CHANCES OF SUCCESS Considerable Interest will attach to the performances of the Hamilton Rowing Club’s crews at the Ngaruawahia Regatta to be held on March 15. Hamilton oarsmen have had a particularly successful season so far and supporters are hoping that the list of wins will continue next Saturday. The Light-weight Maiden Fours, comprising F. Williams, G. Cusack, A. Green and J. Bremner, who won their events at both Ham-

j ilton and Mercer recently against strong opposition, will row for Hamilton on Saturday. j A record of two starts and two ; wins is also neld by the Open MaidI en Fours, A. McHugh. H. Morgan, S. McCreech and H. Fitz Gerald, who put up a particularly good fight at the Hamilton Regatta to win by a canvas from Auckland. At Hamilton the Youths’ Fours (A. McHugh, J. Tanner, S. McCreech and H. Morgan) led West End home by half a length, and at Mercer the team was in second position to Ngaruawahia, with West End third. Several changes have been made in the Junior Fours, which will consist of A. McHugh, J. Tanner, S. McCreech and H. Morgan, that is, the same as the team entered for the Youths’ Fours. In the Handicap Single Sculls

Hamilton will be represented by I. Duncan and W. Taylor. Given favourable weather next Saturday, rowing enthusiasts should see some good racing at the Ngaruawahia Regatta.
