WANTS TO GO HOME

BOY KING OF THAILAND SPEAKS SEVERAL LANGUAGES (United Press Asia.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Feb. 26 The 15-year-old King Ananda, of Thailand, is reported to be planning to leave Europe and return to Bangkok. He has spent most of his life at Lausanne (Switzerland), seeking good health, but it is now considered that the state of Europe holds more dangers for him than his native climate. His health has been much improved recently, but one obstacle to his return is the difficulty about travel. The King is anxious to return by air, and has had an airliner placed at his disposal, but his mother is opposed to air travel. His favourite sport is ski-ing, at which he is adept, and his hobbies include taking automobile engines to piece*. He speaks fluent English and French and some German. His English study has become a relaxation because somebody introduced him to Edgar Wallace’s works.
