MEAT RESTRICTIONS
HARSHER IN AUSTRALIA NEW MEASURES ESSENTIAL (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Tuesday As a result of the conversations he had with Ministers and representatives of the primary producers in New Zealand. Mr Anthony, the Australian Commonwealth AssistantMinister of Finance said today that he had come to the conclusion that the meat restrictions in Australia were far more severe than anything yet applied in New Zealand. “ To us it appears inevitable that with the shipping restrictions new measures will have to be taken by both countries to meet the changing circumstances brought about by the war.”
