FATEFUL MATCH

EAST TO PLAY OLD BOYS CLAUDELANDS AND HAMILTON TEAMS FOR TOMORROW The fate of the Hamilton senior A cricket competition for 1940-1 will be decided in the matches that begin at Seddon Park tomorrow. East, tne leading team in the competition, wiii play Old Boys, which is four points behind. To have any chance of winning the competition Old Boys must secure the victory. Unless tne completely unexpected happens, Old Boys does not seem to have much prospect of dismissing East twice in order to secure an outright win. If Aitken continues in form and several other Old Boys players find their footmg, the team may establish a lead on the first innings. Claudelands and Hamilton, playing on No. 2 wicket, should also provide a fairly even contest. Judging by last week’s performance the honours should be evenly shared. In the senior B competition, Cambridge, the leading team, is drawn to play Hamilton East at Cambridge tomorrow. The Draw Senior A.—Hamilton East v. Old Boys, No. 1 Seddon Park; Claudelands v. Hamilton, No. 2 Seddon Park. Senior B.—Cambridge v. Hamilton East at Cambridge; Karapiro v. High School, at High School; Technical School v. Hamilton, at Technical School; Whitiora v.
