Mr A. E. Gibbons returned to Hamilton this morning after attending a meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Red Cross Society in Wellington.

Mr Anderson Tyrer, the English composer, conductor and pianist, who has been in New Zealand for nearly a year, is to leave for Australia toward the end of next month. After conducting examinations hi the Commonwealth he is to go on a similar mission to South Africa, after which he hopes tu visit his children in England.
