ANOTHER MISSING
MATAMATA RESIDENT DOUBLE SEARCH PROGRESSES There is still no trace of Mr James Joseph McKinstry, manager of the Matamata branch of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board, who disappeared a fortnight ago, and whose motor-car was found on the roadside near the bridge over the Waikato River near Hora Hora on Tuesday of last week. Today another man was reported missing. He is Mr Frederick Davis, employed as a porter at Braeburn Private Hotel, Matamata. He has not been seen since Monday, when he was about the hotel, and later on the road toward Te Poi. Men working on the State Housing Department’s building in Broadway, Matamata, saw him then. The only trace since then is the discovery of a book believed to have been in his possession. The book was found under the bridge over the Waihou River at Okauia, and it is believed that Davis may have left it there on Monday. The missing man has been in illhealth recently. Search for both men is being continued.
