Messrs G. G. Kelly (Wellington) and W. H. McCorkindale (Auckland) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
Mr C. A. Barrell, M.P. for Hamilton, arrived from Wellington last evening.
The Rev. S. J. Atkins, formerly of First Church, Frankton, has undergone a successful operation on hi* eyes, his sight being fully restored.
Mr W. Russell-Wood, of Dunedin, who was the founder of the Hamilton Playbox, and Mr Burton Donovan, of Bendigo, Australia, are visiting Hamilton.
Mr S. M. Stone, of Wellington, has retired from a seat on the Council of the New Zealand Bowling Association after having served on that body for 14 years.
Mr A. J. Cavanagh, who has been district chief clerk of the Social Security Department, Hamilton, since its inception in 1939, is leaving shortly for Wellington, where he will take up duty with the Army Department.
Lieutenant Noel B. Smith, formerly on the clerical staff of the Waikato County Council, who is serving in the Middle East with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, has been promoted to the rank of captain.
The Rev. K. W. McKinney, ot Thames, was welcomed by the Waikato Presbytery yesterday, this being the first meeting he had attended since his return from Britain. He was appointed Moderator of the Coromandel- Whitianga Home Mi*sion Station.
