OBITUARY

MRS F. LUPIS The death has occurred of Mrs Eliza Catherine Lupis, wife of Mr F. Lupis, of Taotaoroa, and a member of one of the pioneer families of the Cambridge district. She was born in Wales in 1870. the eldest daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs Thomas Bruce, and came to New Zealand when only a year old, the family travelling in the sailing ship Alexandria. They settled in the Cambridge district, where Mrs Lupis had resided all her life except for a few years at Mercury Bay. She was married about 20 years ago, and is survived by her husband and three sisters, Mrs J. R Mitchell, Leamington. Mrs M. Smith. Thames, and Miss N. Bruce (Cambridge), and two brothers, Messrs John and William Bruce, Cambridge.
