ARM TORN OFF

ACCIDENT TO MECHANIC (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Monday A mechanic, Mr Paul Shaw, aged 30, married, of New Lynn, had his right arm torn off when it became caught in a shaft while he was working at Winstone’s quarry, Tamaki Heights, this afternoon. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. His condition is fairly serious.
