RIMVEIL’S BEBT RACE MALAGIGI WINS NARROWLY (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) SYDNEY, Dec. 21 In the best race of his career at the Australian Jockey Club’s summer meeting at Randwick to-day Rlmveil narrowly won the Villiers Stakes from Breeze. Rimveil is generally acknowledged to be the best son of Veilmond yet seen. At the half-mile Rlmveil was nearer last than first, with a solid wall of hqrses ahead of him, but on entering the straight he came round the field with an electrifying gallop to cut down Red Thespian and Breeze and scorer full of running, by half a length. CopyrHrnt) SYDNEY, Dec. 22 The hurdle race at the Randwick meeting yesterday will long be remembered for its chapter of unusual Incidents. Gold Pan was first past the post, the second and third horses to finish, Battle Star and The Winger being disqualified for racing inside the flags which marked the substitute course. No third prize wan awarded, while the horse who ran fourth, Guardsman, was placed second. Totallsator dividends on Battle Star were colleced by 556 Investors before the disqualification was announced, lmt the 991 investors on Guardsman got nothing. One jockey was suspended for two months. Flags marked the substitute course, which was used because rain had alTecfed the regular course. MOONEY VALLEY RESULTS MELBOURNE, Dec. 21 The Williamstown Racing Club held a meeting in aid or the Government Compensation Fund at Moonee Valley to-day, the Fund Handicap being won by Bathing Beauty.
