A. quin, -who has been tionn- cm Jeave during the week. The evening was -pent with the honouring of a comprehensive toast list and musical and other Items. The secretary-ananage;’ ol the -ports Club presented Sergeant ijuhi with a substantial cheque and mad** relerence to the good work the recipient had done to promote all field games On behalf of the resid.-st* of btorohatiga, a Town Board presentation was made of a soldier’s companion. Social lunclJons were held on Wednesday and Thursday nights at Mokauiti, where Sergeant quin was postmaster. PATRIOTIC GOLF CONTESTS Under adverse weather condition* • patriotic guir tournament was held on the Otorohanga links on Monday, when some 3o players were in action.
