FUTURE OF FRANCE COLLABORATION WITH GERMANY PARIS, Oct. 31 IYI. Laval, in a statement, said the Franco-German collaboration will embrace colonial in addition to economic questions. France is preparing a precise answer to the German questionnaire. He revealed that he and two other members of the Vichy Government to-day had important technical conversations with German military and political authorities in Paris. M Laval, interviewed before meeting Hitler, declared that democracy everywhere was dead. He aimed to stake France’s future on collaboration with Germany. LONGLEY FOR TRIAL M£NUNUI MURDER CHARGE TAUMARANUI, Friday The hearing of the charge against Charles Harold Longlev that the murdered Jeremiah O’Sullivan at Manunui on September 22 was concluded before Messrs W. Thomas and W. A. Campbell, J.’sP. The accused reserved his defence and was committed for trial at the nc*t sitting of the Supreme Court in Hamilton.
