LEAP YEAR DANCE

HAMILTON LODGE OF DRUIDS The Pride of Hamilton Lodge of Druids held its fortnightly meeting recently, the large attendance being president over by A.D. Bro. S. Whellan. After the closing of the meeting an enjoyable function was held, which took the form of a Mad Hatters’ and leap year dance. The excellent programme was arranged by Sis. G. Barnett and V. Morley. who were masters of cere* monies for the evening. Music wa« supplied by Bro. M. Cosgrove, and Sis. O’Leary assisted by Bro. Cosgrove’s Orchestra. The juding of the “Mad Hats” was in the capable hands of Mrs Jury and Mrs Grant, who awarded Sis. Morley and Bro. Lewies the first prizes. Mrs Jury sang two songs, Mrs Grant being the accompanist. They were presented by Mrs Barnett Iwith shoulder sprays in appreciation, i Piano and xylophone items given by j Bro. Cosgrove and Sis. O’Leary wenmuch enjoyed. A variety of novelty dances, which caused much amusement and added greatly to the success of the evening, were won by Sis. McDonald and M. Watson, and Mrs J. BrickneLl, and V

Bros. H. Urc and J. Poole. The women’s committee and hostesses for the evening were S*s. E. Watson, G. Trenberth, G. Bleu*. G. Barnett, T. Cannell and V. Worley, and much credit is due to hiem for :he most enjoyable evenirg held by the lodge for some time. A delicious supper wa » served by the women’s committee. Among those present were Mesi dames S.
