ROYAL AIR FORCE

TRIBUTE FROM RUSSIA MASSIVE BLOWS STRUCK (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyrlg-ht) LONDON, Oct. 21 The Moscow radio, reviewing the week’s events, said the Royal Air Force is carrying out increasingly offensive actions against Germany. Massive blows have been struck against industrial centres in northern, southern and western Germany, notably in Berlin. The Moscow -peaker emphasised the difficulties facing the Italians in North Africa. According to the Berlin correspondent of the Italian newspaper II Telegrafo the Germans are surprised at the way Britain is holding out. “After reading the daily German communiques,” says the correspondent, “the question is always being asked, how can England hold out? It is really true that 47,000.000 Englishmen are 47,000,000 Churchills, all determined to die under the ruins ol their Empire rather than surrender.’
