CRICKET SEASON

OPENING ON OCTOBER 26 14 TEAMS TO PARTICIPATE The opening of the Hamilton cricket club competitions was arranged at a meeting of the club last night for October 26. Mr C. G. Hunt presided, and also present were Messrs A. Taylor, S. A. R. Badeley, W. Munroe, G. D. Bright, R. Clough, J. Tiller, A. W. Pedrotti, and W. Genk. The following teams will make up the Hamilton competitions:—Senior A: Hamilton East, Hamilton, Old Boys and Clauaelands. Senior B: Cambridge (2), Karapiro, Hamilton East, High School, Whitiora, Hamilton. Hamilton Technical High School, Hakanoa and Claudelands. Selectors elected were:—Waikato: Mr W. Everest. Hamilton: Mr S. A. R. Badeley and Mr R. Clough (assistant). Senior B: Messrs A. Taylor and J. Tiller. It was decided that the matches played this year would be two-day (ones, each club to have authority to substitute registered men, soldiers or civilians, on either Saturday.
