DUAL INSTALLATION
COMBINED LODGES’ FUNCTION There was a large atendance in the Masonic Hall, Kent Street, Frankton Junction, on Thursday last, for the half-yearly installation of of- , licers of the Matua Waikato Rebekah Lodge No. 75 and Star of Waikato Lodge No. 181, 1.0.0. F., conducted by Bro. Geo. F. Rudkin, Grand Master, Grand Lodge of N.Z.1.0.0.F., and staff. Visitors were present from • Rose of V/aikare, Aroha-nui, Te Koutu and Kaimai Rebekah Lodges and also brethren of Star of Wai- I kare, Mountain Spa, Star of Papa- I kura, Endeavour, Wairere and Arawa ‘ Lodges. < The elective officers installed into ' Matua Lodge were:—N.G., Sister G. I Snowden; V.G., Sister M. Morrow; j financial secretary, Sister M. Searle. j P.N.G.; recording secretary, Sister G. ! Libeau; treasurer, Sister D. Duff, j P.N.G. Star of Waikato officers j were:—N.G., Bro. R. Middleton; V.G., j Bro. M. Arthur; financial secretary, ; Bro. J. A. Reidy, D.D.G.M.; record- j ing secretary, Bro. H. M. Davidson: ; treasurer, Bro. H. Jackson, P.G. i The Grand Master, Bro. Rudkin, j was called upon to make a presen- , tation of a Past Noble Grand’s collar and certificate to Sister F. Morrow, on behalf of the Matua Rebekah Lodge. Sister Morrow suitably responded. After the closing of the meeting, the evening was spent in dancing, and Bro. W. G. Revell, of Te Aroha, sang several solos. Supper was I served by members of the social | committee. The winners of the novelty dance were Misses Jean ! Webster and Joyce Warnford.
