HANDED OVER
BRITON IN RUMANIA COURT-MARTIAL PENDING (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, October 11. It is authoritatively stated in London that material for two motorised and one armoured division will shortly be going to Rumania from Germany. There are good grounds for believing that considerable numbers of German troops are arriving forthwith. A formation of 150 German and Rumanian planes, flying over Bucharest, swooped low over the British Legation. The Rumanian police have handed over Mr Millar to the military authorities for court-martial on a charge of sabotage. The British Legation is doing its utmost to ensure he, and the five other Britishers, are adequately defended.
M. Dimanescu, Counsellor to the Rumanian Legation in London, has resigned from' his post and from the diplomatic service, stating he cannot further be connected with a Government which has surrendered its nation to the army of a foreign Power.
