PLANE UNDAMAGED
FORCED LANDING IN SOUTH (By Telegraph.—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday The Airspeed Oxfrd bombing aeroplane which made a forced landing near Mount White, Cass, on Monday, has been flown back to Wigram. Wing-Commander G. S. Hodson, officer commanding the station, said that the machine was found undamaged after a forced landing. The large paddock where it landed had been quite suitable for a take-off. The machine had been piloted on its return to Wigram by SquadronLeader D. Baird. TARANAKI SEARCH NOW IN WAITARA DISTRICT (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday The search for the three Royal New Zealand Air Force men who have been missing in an Airspeed i Oxford monoplane in the Mount Messenger district since September 30 has been transferred to the Waitara district. On Wednesday a party of eight searchers covered over 30 miles of bush country between Uruti and Whangamomona, and reached the conclusion that further search in the area would be useless. It is hoped to recruit a large party to comb the Tangitu country, at the back of Uruti. tomorrow. Smoke seen on Mount Ararat during the past week was discovered to have been from a fire lit by mill-hands.
