Copyright) SYDNEY, Sept. 16 A further by-election for the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, due to the resignation of Mr Eric Spooner to contest a Federal seat was held in the Ryde electorate. There are five candidates, three of whom represent rival schools of Labour. However, the Government candidate, Mr A. J. Mitchell, seems likely to retain the seat when the preferences are distributed early in the week.
