DEATH OF SIR 11. CARPENTER (United Press Asn.--Elec. Tel. Copyright) j (Received Sept. 17. 3.15 p.m.) LONDON. Sept. 16 I The death is announced of Sir Harold Carpenter. His body was found in a stream near Swansea. He was aged 65 years. Sir Harold was a Professor of ' Metallurgy in the Royal School of Mines, a member of the Advisory i Council of the Department of i Scientific and Industrial Research. 1 and chairman of the Metallurgy Rc- ! search Board. Hr had published several work* ' regarding researches in metals and alloys.
