INTOXICATED MOTORISTS TWO FINED, ONE IMPRISONED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Monday A motor-cyclist, Arthur Leonard Higgins, aged 40, pleaded guilty in the Police Court to a charge of intoxication while in charge of a vehicle. Mr J. Morling, S.M., imposed a sentence of seven days’ imprisonment. Samuel Gill, aged 37, pleaded not guilty to a charge of intoxication while in charge of a car. The magistrate said the evidence showed the offence had been accentuated by his debilitated condition. He was fined £2O and his license cancelled for 12 months.

Charles Edward Newfield, aged 30, pleaded guilty of intoxication while in charge of a car. He was fined £25 and his license was cancelled for 12 months.
