ROGUE AM) VAGABOND OFFF.XCF. TX ROARDIXG ITOISE i Charged before Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court, Hamj ilton, to-day with being a rogue and j a vagabond. William Cunningham, of I no fixed abode, was admitted to proj bation for one year. He was ordered i to take out a prohibition order and [ to proceed to his job at Te Kuiti. On i a charge of committing mischief by j breaking a pane of glass, Cunningj ham was ordered to pay 12s costs, j Pleas of guilty were entered in both cases. j Senior-Sergeant A. G. McHugh I said that Cunningham arrived in j Hamilton from Auckland and went to * a boardinghouse in London Street, | where he took a seat in the sitting j room. After saying that he had no ; money he refused to leave when j asked. A struggle took place and a ! window was broken. On the day he i arrived from Auckland he had a few i drinks and he later stated that but j for that he would not have commit- • ted the offence. He had a job waiting tor him at Te Kuiti.
