ITALIAN SUBMARINES BUSY BRITISH SHIP TORPEDOED MEMBERS OF CREW KILLED (United Tress Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, August 26 Italian submarines with Italian and German crews have slipped through the Straits of Gibraltar and are operating in the Atlantic, says a message from Lisbon. Members of the crew of the torpedoed tanker British Fame said their attacker was an Italian submarine largely manned by Germans. The missing members of the crew of the British Fame were picked up by a Portuguese destroyer and transferred to a steamer, and have been landed at Malta. The men report that three were killed in the engineloorn when the ship was torpedoed ir. the Atlantic.
