FINAL GAME

' WAIKATO RUGBY TEAM MATCH WITH THAMES VALLEY REPRESENTATIVES CHOSEN The final representative Rugby match of the season for the Waikato fifteen will be played on Saturday at Morrinsville, when the team will meet Thames Valley. The Waikato representatives have been selected by Mr H. P. Ensor, of Te Awamutu, as follows: Fullback: D. G. Ensor (Morrinsville). Three-quarters: G. H. Childs (Matamata), A. J. Aitken (Morrinsville), C. Perkins (Hamilton). Five-eighths: J. Everest (Hamilton), W. Carroll (Matamata). Half-back: W. Brown (Matamata). Back row: M. Hewitt (Cambridge). Middle row: W. Warrender (Matamata), A. Thomson (Waipa), MJ. Johnson (Hamilton), C. Satherley (Hamilton). Front row: J. M. Taylor (Taupiri), E. H. Catley (Taupiri), P. J. Farren (Taupiri). Reserves: Backs. G. Howie (Morrinsville), B. Paterson (Hamilton). Forwards: V. Ensor (Morrinsville), T. Munroe (Matamata), W. Walker (Morrinsville). Several changes have been made in the team for the final match. These have been occasioned by the number of players not available. With both L G. C. Reece and R. Everest not available, the five-eighths combination will be broken up again, meaning that Waikato will have been without the services of its best inside backs for every match this season. G. H. Childs has been brought into the team on the wing, and his inclusion should strengthen the threequarter line. Brown, the Matamata half-back, will require to play a better game than he did against Auckland if the backs are to be successful. In the forwards, A. Maclean (Hamilton), E. B. Macky (Waipa), and L. Daniell (Waipa) are not available. This will weaken the pack considerably, although the men replacing them have all been chosen on their merits. Johnson (Hamilton), will have to improve on recent displays to justify his inclusion. There are others worthy of consideration for his place, including Ensor and Walker (Morrinsville). Bremer (Hamilton) might have been fitted into the pack.
