HAMILTON WIN

FAST AND OPEN HOCKEY In a fast and open week-end hockey match at Steele Park between Hamilton and Taumarunui, the Hamilton team won by 3 points to 1. The visiing goal-keeper, Francis, was responsible for a very fine performance and the margin in the home team’s favour would probably have been more substantial but for his frequent saves. For the visitors, Curtis, Peacocke and Taumata were outstanding, while for Hamilton, Campbell, Hoff, Powdrill, Jenkins, Boyd and Bowler were all very sound. Powdrill and Hoff (2) scored for Hamilton.
