BOY BELIEVED DROWNED KAIPARA RIVER DRAGGED COMPANION BROUGHT ASHORE (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) HELENSVILLE, Thursday A 16-year-old boy, Ralph Bradly, son of Mr and Mrs D. A. Bradly, of Helensville, is believed to have beer, drowned following the capsize of a canoe on the Kaipara River late this afternoon. When the canoe overturned a companion, Thomas Weir, aged 14, regained a hold on it. and was assisted tc the bank by another boy, William Boyle, who swam to his rescue. In the meantime Bradly had disappeared. It was then about an hour after flood tide, and the river was running very strongly. The accident occurred between Fisherman’s Wharf and Awaroa creek. The river has so far been dragged without result.
