MAN’S SKELETON

BOY SCOUTS’ FIND BUSH NEAR PAEROA NO CLUE TO IDENTITY (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) PAEROA, Thursday The skeleton of a man was found today by a party of Boy Scouts in a patch of bush near the Komata Reef Road, about five miles from Paeroa. The police were notified and a party headed by Mr F. E. Flatt, district coroner, Dr. L. Clark and Constable Lilly visited the scene. A hat with the name of a local mercer inside, a pair of light brown shoes, a pocket wallet and other personal belongings were recovered, but gave no clue to the identity of the man. The skeleton is believed to have been in the bush for possibly 12 months, but no one has been reported missing in the district during that time. Investigations are proceeding.
