PRIEST’S HIGH RECORD (By Telcgrapn.—Press Association) BLENHEIM, Wednesday The parish priest at Blenheim, the Very Rev. Dean J. R. Holley, S.M., attains the 50th anniversary of his profession in the Society of Mary tomorrow. The occasion will be marked by Solemn High Mass and other functions. About 15 priests from various parts of New Zealand are attending the celebrations. Dean Holley’s charge in the Blenheim parish, covering three terms, extends over 20 years. He has also been stationed at Wanganui, Timaru and Napier. He was New Zealand Provincial of the Marist Order from 1916 to 1920 . He is the second New Zealander to reach his golden jubilee in membership of the order, the first being the late Dr. D. Kennedy. Dean Holley’s ordination as a priest came two years after his profession in the Society of Mary.
