SKI CHAMPIONSHIP
CONTESTS AT MOUNT COOK (By Telegrapn.—Press Association) TIMARU, Tuesday C. Hocking-, a Dunedin member or the Tasman Ski Club, won the championship title at the national ski meeting- at Mount Cook. The weather was perfect, but the snow was hard. C. \V. Holmes, of Dunedin, had two llrsts, but spoiled his chance by completing: only one run In the slalom. Besults were:— Downhill: Holmes (Dunedin), 46 2-ss, 1; C. Hocking: (Dunedin), 46 3-ss, 2; A. Chance (Dunedin), 47«, 3. Cross-country: Holmes, 7m 53 4-ss, i. Slalom: Hocking, 30s and 29 3-ss, 1; Chance, 31 4-5 s and 295, 2; P. Young (Tiniaru), 32s and 325, 3. Championship Points: Hocking, 7; Holmes, 6; Chance, 4.
