GAZETTE NOTIFIES EXTENSION NAVAL AND AIR BASES (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) ROME, July 16 The official Gazette publishes a decree extending the war zone to include the entire southern parts of the Apulia region, from the Strait of Otranto, as far north as the towns of Gioja del Colle and Monopoli, and also that part of the lonic coast included between the region of Calabria, on the “toe" of Italy, and the above mentioned area. The decree also extends the war zone to include all naval and air bases, seats of commands, and establishments directly used by the Italian Navy and Air Forte.
