LIST OF PROMOTIONS TEMPORARY GROUP CAPTAIN A list of Royal New Zealand Air Force appointments is given in a Gazette. It includes the promotion of Wing-Commander A. de T. Nevill to the rank of group captain (temporary) in the general duties branch. Squadron-Leader M. S. Keogh is to be wing-commander (temporary). Acting flight-lieutenants who are to be flight-lieutenants (temporary), comprise K. G. Smith and J. R. C. Kilian, while Flying-Officers W. G. Woodward and S. M. Kirkcaldie are promoted to the rank of flightlieutenants (temporary). In the equipment branch Flying-Officers G. A. Hutchinson, F. J. McWhinnie, A. B. Lindop, W. D. Abernethy and J. B. Price are to be flight-lieutenants (temporary), together with a signals officer, Flying-Officer R. J. Gibbs. Administrative and special duties branch appointments include the promotion of Flight-Lieutenant W. J. M. Nancarrow to the rank of acting l squadron-leader and of Acting j Flight-Lieutenant S. R. Neal and | Flying-Ofhcer J. M. Gamble to flightlieutenants (temporary). Squad ron- • Leader J. Seabrook, A.F.C. (Reserve of Officers), has been appointed to • the administrative and special duties ! branch in his present rank. I Promotions in the Territorial Air I Force include Squadron-Leader E. A. i Gibson, who is to be wing commander (temporary), and FlightLieutenant I. E. Rawnsley, who Is to oe squadron-leader (temporary). In the reserve of officers Flight-Lieu-tenant R. A. Kirkup is promoted to squadron-leader (temporary), and Flying-Officer E. F. Harvie to acting flight-lieutenant.
