ACTION APPRECIATED
OFFER BY WORKERS REPLY BY PRIME MINISTER Appreciation of the offer of the workers of Messrs A. M. Bisley and Company, Limited, Hamilton, to work longer hours to assist the war effort is expressed by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, in 1 a telegram received by the foreman, Mr R. Edge, today. The telegram is as follows: “Thank you very must for your telegram conveying the resolution carried by 24 workers who attended the stop-work meeting of factory workers of Messrs Bisley and Company. The offer of the employees as embodied in the resolution and the patriotic spirit in which it is made are greatly appreciated, and : the offer will receive the full and j sympathetic consideration of the Government. For this purpose the j telegram is being brought under the j notice of the Minister of Labour.” I Signed, Peter Fraser.
