TRENCH MOUTH FOUND MAJOR CAMPS NOT AFFECTED Cases of trench mouth have been detected at the Hobsonvilie air base, according to a statement made by Dr. Hilda Northcroft at a meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board last night. The complaint was familiar among troops in the Great War. No cases have been found U Papakura, and it was stated toaay by the superintendent of the Waikato Hospital. Dr. H. L. Gould, that there have been no cases at llopu Hopu. Dr. Northcroft stated at the meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board that the troops at Papakura were not being protected from a potential source of infection, as she understood that sterilisers were not yet being used to wash soldiers’ kits. There is very little sickness at the Hopu Hopu camp, where a large number of men is training. Only i few cases of influenza have been taken to the Waikato Hospital, the cases being not unusual for the time of the year.
