MILITARY FUNERAL

AIRCRAFTSMANS DEATH (Dy Telegraph.—special to Times) WHANGAREI, Sunday A military funeral' was accorded Leading-Aircraftsman David Handforth Hawkes, who was buried at Onerahi on Saturday. Leading-Air-craftsman Hawkes was killed in a flying accident at the Ohakea Training School. The guard, under FlyingOfficer G. P. Keller, was formed of members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, which also provided the pall-bearers. The Army was represented by Major H. P. ConyersBrown, area officer at Whangarei, and the Air Force by Flying-Officer G. K. Mackenzie.
