SPECIAL LEAVE

RAILWAY TROOPS HOME Because they were rushed into camp at short notice during the last two weeks, members of the special railway construction and operating companies in camp at Hopu Hopu were provided with special facilities to travel to their homes this weekend. Over 1000 men were at the camp yesterday preparing for the leave. Special trains were run last night to Auckland and Wellington, and more than 100 of the men disembarked at Frankton Junction to go to their homes in the Hamilton district. Before leaving camp they were issued with full uniform and pay.
