MOTOR ACCIDENT LAW ABSOLUTE LIABILITY (By TelegrapH.—Special to Times) WELLINGTON, Wednesday Advice that the Government has decided not to proceed at present with the investigation into the question of absolute liability for motor accidents has been received by the executive of the Automobile Association (Wellington). Several months ago the Attorney-General, Mr Mason, announced that a committee would investigate the proposal that motorists be liable to pay damages for injuries caused to people using the roads irrespective of whether the motorist was negligent or not. The war is stated to be the reason for the latest decision.
