KILLED IN ACTION

NEW ZEALANDER’S SERVICE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, July 2 The Times, recording the death of a New Zealander, J. St.B. Barclay, ol' the Royal Army Service Corps, who was killed in action, says: “ No young man could have chosen a more pleasant or useful life. “ Mr Barclay was educated at Cambridge and went to Bolivia searching for the Sacombya treasure when he was 22. He then entered journalism. He enlisted in the Naval Intelligence Service on the outbreak of war, when he was aged 37, and then transferred to the Royal Army Service Corps, insisting on going abroad. He was killed a fortnight later.”
