OBITUARY

MR W. T. WELLS (By Telegraph—special to Times) HAWERA, Monday The death has occurred of Mr W. T. Wells, of Manaia, aged 85, a pioneer of the Waimate Plains. Mr Wells, who resided in South Taranaki for 60 years, was born in Warwickshire, England, and came to New Zealand in 1877. He was at one time a member of the New Plymouth Harbour Board and the Hawera Hospital Board and was a director of the Kaupokonui Dairy Company. He is survived by his wife, four sons and one daughter.
