The following areas have already been signed up:—Rangiora, 1000 acres; Timaru. 1200; Methven. 900; Balclutha. 1000; Tapanui, 650: Otautau. 600: Winton, 300. Further contracts are being signed up rapidly.” The Minister added that arrangements were practically completed for I the manufacture of nearly all the machinery in New Zealand.
