EMPIRE AIR MAIL

SECTION SUSPENDED (By Telegraph.—press Association) WELLINGTON, Wednesday The Postmaster-General, the Hon. P. C. Webb, announced that the entry of Italy into the war necessitates the suspension meantime of the England-Egypt section of the Empire air service. “This means,” the Minister stated, “that the air mail service from New Zealand is not now available for points beyond Egypt and Africa.” The Minister added that air mails en route for Britain and other points beyond Egypt would complete their journey by sea and that probably they would be subjected to some delay in reaching their destinations.
