Firming Potato Market
It is reported in Hamilton that owing to the purchase by Australia of 5000 tons of New Zealand potatoe* during July, August and September, the market in New Zealand may harden to some extent in the near future. It is believed that the Australian order was originally for much more, but owing to pressure from Tasmania the order was reduced to 5000 tons.
