AMATEUR HARRIERS
C.Y.M. CLUB (By “Plodder”) Held from the home of Mr and Mrs K. Louden, of Tamihana Avenue, Fairfield, the C.Y.M. Club conducted its weekly Saturday afternoon run in fine weather. Mud, blackberries and gorse were the main obstacles of the run, but these were easily overcome. The medium pack was first home, headed by E. Jones with W. Kemp second. R. Sattrupp, first home for the fast pack, was followed by Kepple, Sundvick and Primrose. Sattrupp, who is improving every run, is a very keen runner and with a little training will be a great asset to the club. Primrose and Jones are both showing signs of improvement and are likely to be prominent this season. Another member who is showing considerable improvement is the popular club secretary, G. (Bill) Jenkins, who has yet to show his capabilities as a harrier.
The run next week will be held from the Melville Church, Mahoe Street.
