HOMING PIGEONS
RACE FROM WELLINGTON The Hamilton Pigeon Club concluded the young bird racing on Saturday with an event from Wellington, an airline of 240 miles. The birds were liberated by the station staff in adverse weather. The Young Bird Average Cup, donated by Mr • A. Sharpe, was won by Mr L. ; Cooper. Results of the Wellington race i were as follows:—H. Brown’s bcc, i 625 (1053yds) 1; W. Aitken’s rc, 988 (1054yds) 2; C. Crabb’s bch, 708 (1053) 3; L. Cooper’s bh, 508 rm4fivHO 4.
